IRAQ: Protest in Sulaymaniya

About 6,000 people gathered for a demonstration in the northern Iraqi city of Sulaymaniya on Tuesday.

As opposed to other recent protests in the Kurdish city, during Tuesday’s rally in Saray Square, intellectuals and artists stood between protesters and the security forces, placing white cloth on their chests.
