EGYPT: Sunday protests could feature Coptic Mass

Egyptian demonstrators seeking to oust longtime President Hosni Mubarak have called for another day of protests Sunday, according to Al Jazeera.
They have dubbed Sunday, ‘The day of the martyred,’ following Friday’s ‘Day of departure’ and the ‘Day of anger’ Jan. 28 marked by violent clashes with pro-Mubarak protesters.
Al Jazeera also reported Saturday that some members of the Coptic church in Egypt have called for a Sunday Mass to be held in Cairo’s Tahrir Square, the epicenter of massive protests in recent days.
Opposition leader Mohamed ElBaradei’s National Assn. for Change and a leftist Tagammu party leader announced Saturday that they had formed a new group of about 10 leaders, including ElBaradei, Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohamed Beltagy and liberal Ghad party leader Ayman Nour, CNN reported. The newly formed opposition group called for Mubarak’s immediate resignation and the right to peaceful demonstration.
