EGYPT: Opposition plans to negotiate with military, not president
Arab satellite network Al Jazeera has reported that Egyptian opposition leaders plan to negotiate a transition government with the Egyptian army, which maintained a heavy presence throughout the country on Sunday, and not longtime President Hosni Mubarak.
Al Jazeera reporters blogged that protesters still crowded Cairo's Tahrir Square after 11 p.m. Sunday, calling for Mubarak to resign. At one point, protesters spelled out "Down with Mubarak" with their bodies, the network reported.
Heavy machine-gun fire could be overheard Sunday night as thousands of protesters marched through downtown Alexandria, CNN's Nic Robertson reported. Army troops were positioned in various parts of the port city, having moved some of their checkpoints over the weekend.
Maajid Nawaz, executive director of the Quilliam Foundation, a London-based think tank, told Al Jazeera that Mubarak was a liability to political allies within Egypt and overseas.

In my many comments I was saying, Al Jazeera is the best News Company, for their most absolute news. This news article also broadcast by Al Jazeera. So why not I like Al Jazeera.

It's so interesting news. Now I want to say that, enemies are not other country they are stay in Egypt's. Mean: Egypt's opposite leaders are not willing to talk with President Mubarak. They wish to negotiate with military. Why? To take Mubarak in a JAIL. Are you agree with me?

Although our countries are enemies, I feel for you. Your country is going to be a Shia controlled state. Iran is smart and manipulative. They control AlJazeera - they managed to topple the government in Tunis - look at Aljazeera headlines - there is little about what is going on in Lebanon. They are conveniently promoting Wikileaks and creating a surge of Arab sentiment against Abu Mazzen hiding the moves made by Iran in Lebanon. At the same time Aljezeera is promoting the Muslim brotherhood in Egypt and Jordan. All for the objective of creating a greater Iran by controlling Lebanon. It is a done deal. The middle east is going to new places...
