Christopher Plummer, Joseph Gordon-Levitt among festival honorees

Christopher Plummer, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jessica Chastain and Felicity Jones will be honored at the 15th annual Hollywood Film Festival and Hollywood Film Awards gala on Oct. 24 at the Beverly HIlton Hotel, the organization announced Monday.

Plummer will receive the Hollywood Supporting Actor Award for ‘Beginners,’ Gordon-Levitt is set to receive the Hollywood Breakthrough Actor Award for ‘50/50,’ Chastain is the recepient of the Hollywood Breakthrough Actress Award for ‘The Help,’ ‘Coriolanus,’ ‘The Debt,’ ‘Take Shelter’ and ‘Tree of Life,’ and Jones is the winner of the New Hollywood Award for ‘Like Crazy.’

‘It is extraordinary that all of these honorees have contributed their talent to such high-quality films, and it is a great pleasure to honor them for their work,’ said Carlos de Abreu, founder of the Hollywood Awards Gala.

The Hollywood Film Festival already announced that the cast of ‘The Help’ will receive the Ensemble Acting Award, and that the cinematographer, editor, production designer and visual effects supervisor for ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ will also be honored, along with ‘Rango’ director Gore Verbinski.
