Poll: Will 'The Amazing Race' win the Emmy race again?
"So another season is done, and the votes are in," writes L.A. Times blogger Louis Bayard about the finale of "The Amazing Race." "Mine, anyway. I hereby declare 'Unfinished Business' to be the best idea 'Race' has had in a long time."
TV Neilsens weren't so good. It was the lowest-rated "Amazing Race" finale ever (8.9 million viewers, down 4%), but general reaction to the victory by sister team LaKisha and Jennifer was positive.
In our message boards, for example, our commenter named BrandoObsession wrote, "Overall, this season started and ended very strong with a few lagging episodes in between for me. All the concerns about teams knowing each other beforehand did factor into play a couple of times, but that's almost expected."
Next: This TV contest faces its ultimate challenge. Can "Amazing Race" reclaim its mojo in the Emmy race? For seven consecutive years it won the award for best reality-competition show until "Top Chef" pulled off an upset last year. Can "Race" zoom ahead again this year?

Do not allow teams to give answers to someone that has not finished the task. Cowboys played the game without help and got sent home. You could tell they were not happy at the final and I don't blame them.Glad the girls won and not the trotters.

Stop Being so BIASED! It wasn't cheating, The producers say it has one of the toughest races in history. All the travel and tasks they have to endure. This is why TAR wins EMMYS!

I hope it does get nominated this year. Many viewers are disgusted by the cheating going on to win this race.
If the cast allows/defends that there is nothing wrong with their rule setting by allowing any team to get the clue without finishing a task - then it fore sure has a judgement problem. It is the same as telling everyone: hey be shameless and ruthless - this is the old American way!
Sorry you did lose all the viewers by defending the cheaters.

I am sorry that the Cowboys did NOT make it to the end, but I am happy that the sisters won.

Probably not going to win this year, though there were many priceless moments, but too many rules breaking, i.e., by the globes, Gary & Mallory & Zev & Justin by sharing answers, and by cutting corner. The cowboys played by rules, but that become their downfall. Had the cowboys been in the final, there would be more viewers.

TAR17 was a much better overall season than TAR18 and was the best season since TAR12.
