It’s rare that marketing executives actually have fun during the Oscar race. Usually, it’s just a long series of working parties, panels and endless meetings as they strategize on how to get academy voters to choose their film above all the others. But in the case of ‘Toy Story 3,’ its marketers seemed to have a moment of joy when creating their unique For Your Consideration ads, which featured the ‘Toy Story’ characters reenacting scenes from previous Oscar-winning films: Buzz Lightyear and Cowgirl Jesse as Tony and Maria in ‘West Side Story,’ for example.

Now the group has compiled all 12 posters that had been featured in different trade publications and in the Los Angeles Times into one poster for consumers. The insert will appear in the L.A. Times on Thursday as a pull-out for readers and is a fun reminder of a campaign that didn’t take itself too seriously.

Disney has made a valiant run in the best picture category for ‘Toy Story 3,’ which is now the most successful animated movie in history, grossing more than $1 billion worldwide. It is also one of only three animated films to land a best picture nomination alongside ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘Up.’ The movie is the front-runner for the animated film trophy, but Oscar voters are unlikely to tap it as best picture of the year. As long as the animation category exits, it gives voters a way to award a second deserving film with an Oscar, so it’s unlikely any animated film will take the top honor.
