Oscars: Natalie Portman wins for lead actress
Natalie Portman won the Oscar for lead actress for her performance in “Black Swan” at the 83rd Academy Awards on Sunday night. It was the first Oscar win for the 29-year-old mother-to-be who played a prima ballerina descending into madness. Portman was considered the favorite to win the Academy Award, having already won the Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild Award and a BAFTA award, the British equivalent of the Academy Award.
Portman was competing against Annette Bening for “The Kids Are All Right,” Nicole Kidman for “Rabbit Hole,” Jennifer Lawrence for “Winter’s Bone” and Michelle Williams for “Blue Valentine.”
The Academy Awards are taking place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood and are being televised live on ABC. We'll carry all the breaking news and reaction here on Awards Tracker.

With Law Makers rushing to kick immigrants out of the USA we just watched a former immigrant who came to the USA as a child from Israel to live the American Dream and tonight Natalie Portman won an Oscar. Portman became an American citizens and continues to work for the USA. Our Law Makers some of them brought to the US as children look to deny others and even children born in the USA. At lease the World got to see just how dumb our current Law Makers are.

What the...? Annette Benning has been nominated FOUR times. Give the lady a break, she should have won one for "American Beauty", and should have taken one here. Besides, Black Swan worked because of Mila Kunis.
Still, Natalie Portman is a very classy woman, congrats to her.

Too bad...........I was hoping she'd wouldn't win.............
She left her "good friend" Mila Kunis to fend for herself...........She didn't mention/thank her in her acceptance speech..........
