Mel Brooks gave a hilarious acceptance speech when ‘The Producers’ won the Oscar for original screenplay (1968): ‘I’ll just say what’s in my heart: ‘Ba-bump, ba-bump, ba-bump.’ ‘

No doubt Brooks also loved the other showbiz peer group awards. He’s one of only 10 people who won them all. Collectively, they’re called the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony). The nine other champs: Helen Hayes, Rita Moreno, John Gielgud, Audrey Hepburn, Marvin Hamlisch, Jonathan Tunick, Mike Nichols, Whoopi Goldberg and Richard Rodgers.
