Category switcheroos at the Daytime Emmys

‘Wow!’ writes a poster named Daytimewatcher in our message boards in response to the news of who’s been submitted in which categories for the Daytime Emmys. The voting process was overhauled again this year, leading to some confusion of what may result. Nelson Branco of TV Guide Canada cleared up suspense when breaking the scoop, which begins:

‘Whoa, Emmy! ‘Y&R’s’ Eric Braeden’s back in the Emmy race! ‘World Turns’ Van Hansis is out! ‘Y&R’s’ Stacy Haiduk is running in lead! ‘GH’s’ Nancy Lee Grahn, like ‘One Life’s’ Robin Strasser, is back in the supporting game (which is smart because she won’t risk tying with ‘AMC’s’ Debbi Morgan again). And ‘AMC’s’ Becky Budig in Lead? Yep!’

OLTLfan responds in our forums: ‘So happy to see Nancy Lee Grahn, Robin Strasser and Hillary B. Smith all drop down to supporting where they belong. I wish Erika Slezak and Bob Woods had done the same. Sad to see no Kim Zimmer or Matt Walton. Interesting that Geary and Marcil didn’t submit.’ READ MORE
