In case you were thinking of trying to crash the Golden Globes, consider this a cautionary tale.

Around 3:15 p.m., near the entrance to the credentials room at the Beverly Hilton, a big scuffle broke out when a man arrived at the booth and found that his name wasn’t in the computer system. He was sent away but returned a short time later with an InStyle crew party credential. Suddenly, a staff member recognized the man -- apparently he’s a notorious party-crasher who has breached the American Music Awards twice.

Staff members started yelling ‘Call the Beverly Hills police!’ and demanding that the man show them who gave him his InStyle credential. He insisted repeatedly that it was really his. They told him they were aware he had a reputation for pulling such stunts and that he was going to be sent to ‘the can’ and that he should plan on retaining a lawyer.

It wasn’t immediately clear if police were actually summoned, but the man wasn’t allowed in.
