Behind the scenes with the 'Toy Story 3' filmmakers

 "Toy Story 3" isn't meek. It's the highest-grossing animated film of all time (more than $1 billion at the global box office) and one of the best-reviewed movies of the year (depending on which critics you tally, it can place above "The Social Network"). It's also a shoo-in for an animated film Oscar nomination and a likely best picture candidate as well.

But its big success was built on a series of small decisions -- more than four years of making sure every line of dialogue, every plot twist, every character was as distinct as possible. The film's makers talked about how they made the film at a recent screening for The Envelope.
