Kristin Chenoweth to host Critics' Choice Movie Awards gala
The Broadcast Film Critics Assn. (BFCA) continues to boost the profile of its Critics' Choice Movie Awards; in addition to the name change, additional categories and a location change to the Hollywood Palladium, the organization has tapped Emmy-winning actress Kristin Chenoweth to host its 15th Annual Awards gala.
Chenoweth, who took home the Emmy in 2009 for "Pushing Daisies," should have no problem with the show's live format; she won the Tony for "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" in 1999 and earned a second nod in 2003 for "Wicked," for which she originated the role of Glinda. Nominations for the Critics' Choice Movie Awards will be announced Monday; the show airs Jan. 15 on VH1.
