Hugh Jackman will not host 82nd Oscars
There is no joy in Song and Danceville tonight, as Variety has reported that Hugh Jackman will not return as host of the 2010 Oscars. The "Wolverine" star, who hosted the 2009 edition to great acclaim, has not refused the possibility of assuming hosting duties for a future Oscars telecast, but word has it that he did not wish to do the show two years in a row. Jackman is currently busy on Broadway starring opposite Daniel Craig in "A Steady Rain."
The 82nd annual Academy Awards will broadcast sans Jackman on March 7, 2010, under the aegis of producers Bill Mechanic and Adam Shankman.
