Apatow, Mann honored by Fulfillment Fund

October 29, 2009 |  5:29 pm

JuddApatow3 Zeitgeist comedy filmmaker Judd Apatow and wife-muse Leslie Mann were honored Monday at the annual Fulfillment Fund benefit dinner. The Fund, which sponsors programs to provide guidance for disadvantaged youth to achieve a college education, feted the couple for the commitment to organizations for the homeless, as well as 826 LA, which supports students with their writing skills, at the STARS 2009 Benefit Gala at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Apatow regulars Jonah Hill and Jason Segel hosted the event, which featured a performance by John Mayer. Apatow mentor Garry Shandling presided over the award presentation.

Past STARS honorees include Jeffrey Katzenberg, Robert A. Iger, Paula and Sumner Redstone, Brian Grazer, Rupert Murdoch and Tom Rothman. All very nice people, but can they tell a joke like Apatow?
