'Precious' perfect, according to Phillips
The "Chicago Tribune's" Michael Phillips spares no quarter in his praise for Lee Daniels' "Precious," the harrowing coming of age produced by Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry and starring Mo'Nique, Paula Patton and Mariah Carey (you did read that right), which screened at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday. Phillips singled out its emotional honesty and -- surprise, surprise -- Mariah herself for kudos. "Glitter" is apparently forgiven.
