'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' to be honored at Hollywood Awards
Who says there's no love for "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen"? The 13th Annual Hollywood Film Festival and Hollywood Awards cries foul on the avalanche of disdain heaped upon Michael Bay's colossally noisy sequel by presenting it and visual effects supervisor Scott Farrar with the "Hollywood Visual Effects Award" at its Gala Ceremony on Oct. 26.
Other folks receiving trophies at the Gala are director Kathryn Bigelow ("The Hurt Locker"), who will receive the "Hollywood Director Award" (natch), Oscar-nominated scribe Nora Ephron ("Julie & Julia") -- yes, the "Hollywood Screenwriter Award" -- and Disney/PIXAR's "Up," which will share the "Hollywood Animation Award" with its writer-director, Pete Docter.
The Hollywood Film Festival and Hollywood Awards are presented by Starz Entertainment, LLC, just so you know.
