2009 AFI Awards to be announced Dec. 13
So here's how the American Film Institute (AFI) Awards 2009, which will be announced Dec.13, go down: two juries -- one for film, one for TV -- get together and debate the 10 best movies and 10 best shows of the year, as well as five Moments of Significance that may be considered for the AFI's 21st century almanac. After much scrimmage, the two Top 10 lists will be presented at a luncheon in Los Angeles on Jan. 15, 2010.
Sound like fun? Wanna go? Sorry, you can't. It's for honorees only. But you can check out the selection process, submission forms and lists of past winners at AFI's site. It's sorta like going to the event, isn't it?
