Tarantino to receive Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film
Quentin Tarantino just got some very good news – and no, we’re not talking about his new movie “Inglourious Basterds” taking the box office last weekend. The Santa Barbara Film Festival just announced that Tarantino will receive the coveted Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film at this year’s black-tie gala on Oct. 22 at Santa Barbara’s Four Seasons Biltmore hotel.
Douglas will be on hand to present the award and pay tribute to the writer/director/producer who made a name for himself with films like “Reservoir Dogs,” “Pulp Fiction” and “Kill Bill.”
