'Sorority' girls honored as ShoWest Female Stars of Tomorrow
The female ensemble cast of the thriller, “Sorority Row,” which opens Oct. 2, will jointly receive the ShoWest 2009 Female Star of Tomorrow at convention’s final night banquet and awards ceremony April 2 at the Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas.
In a statement released Friday morning, co-managing director of the event Mitch Neuhasuer said, “Yes, this is certainly a first, in being able to honor not one, but an ensemble group of six extremely talented and promising young actresses as our Female Star, or should we say, Female Stars of Tomorrow.”
The six actresses receiving the honor are Rumer Willis, the oldest daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis; Briana Evigan, the daughter of “My Two Dads” star Greg Evigan; Leah Pipes; Jamie Chung; Audrina Patridge and Margo Harshman.
The chiller revolves around five sorority girls who accidentally cause the murder of one of their sisters in a silly prank. They agree to never speak of her death again, but after graduation a mysterious killer goes after the five friends, as well as anyone else who knew their secret.
