Hunter, Fuentes, Figgins make American League All-Star team [Updated]

Angels center fielder Torii Hunter, closer Brian Fuentes and third baseman Chone Figgins have been named to the American League All-Star team, Hunter and Fuentes selected by Tampa Bay Manager Joe Maddon and Figgins by fans in an Internet vote.
Hunter, who is batting .303 with a team-leading 17 home runs and 62 runs batted in and has made several spectacular defensive plays, will be making his third All-Star appearance, having played in the 2002 and 2007 games for the Minnesota Twins.
Fuentes, who is 0-2 with a 3.49 earned run average and a league-leading 23 saves, will be making his fourth All-Star appearance, having been selected to the National League team while pitching for the Colorado Rockies in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Figgins, who is batting .316 with a .392 on-base percentage, 60 runs, 16 doubles, five triples and 24 stolen bases, will be making his first All-Star appearance, having been chosen among a group of five AL players for the final roster spot by fans.
The game will be played July 14 in St. Louis.
