Paula Abdul to perform on 'American Idol'?

Paula Abdul may be new to Twitter, but the petite "American Idol" judge sure is catching on fast! She has been tweeting up a storm, communicating with fans the world over and also with real-life pals such as "Idol" host Ryan Seacrest.

But a recent chat on Abdul's page sticks out from the rest.

First, "celestiita" wrote to "PaulaAbdul": "I would love to see you sing and dance on the stage of American Idol for once, i will be so happy." Then "PaulaAbdul" replied: "I wouldn't be surprised if you catch me on stage in the next month;) stay tuned..."

Hmmm... Is Abdul planning to strut her stuff on the "American Idol" stage this month? Adam Lambert makes it look so fun, maybe she can't resist joining the party. A glance at Abdul's other recent tweets shows she is certainly gearing up for some sort of a performance.

Early on Sunday, Abdul -- whose Twitter title is "The Real Paula Abdul" -- wrote: "What a beautiful Sunday!! Headed into the Dance studio to work on some choreography."

Here's some other news from Abdul's twitter page (which may well classify as T.M.I. if you are not an avid fan):

1. She's "def not dating Simon [Cowell] but I have been told he is totally in love with me ;) can't you tell?? :) :)"

2. She has a workout video: "It's a great way to stay in shape and have fun working out."

3. Last Thursday she was feeling under the weather: "Hung out in studio tonight. Have a little sore throat but shot some great stuff. Stay tuned..."

4. But by Friday, she was "Feeling a little better..."

OK so I def. thought that Adam killed tonight...he was on point!! Danny and Kris did awesome tonight too! Everyone is so good that it's gonna be really sad to see people leave tomorrow night. :( I'm really excited to see the dance performance tomorrow with the contestants because I know Paula made up the routine and it's gonna rock just like her! Love ya Paula! :)
