Clay Aiken gets dramatic on 'America's Next Top Model'
He may be best known for being runner-up on Season 2 of "American Idol," but when Clay Aiken visits the set of "America's Next Top Model" on Wednesday, it will be to impart his expertise on acting, not singing. And he's more than qualified. After all, Aiken played Sir Robin in "Monty Python's Spamalot" on Broadway, beginning in January of last year. He has also honed his acting skills on TV shows like "Ed," "All My Children," "Days of Our Lives" and "Scrubs."
On a two-hour episode of "America's Next Top Model," Wednesday night at 8 (7 Central), Aiken will serve as scene partner to the remaining top model contestants. Each of the girls will get a chance to play a stuck-up model on a go-see at the fictional House of de la Clay. You gotta love it.
Since his time on "American Idol" six years ago, Aiken has done much more than just teach models how to act like models. He has toured nine times, had his first child, written a New York Times bestselling memoir, popped into every late night and daytime talk show imaginable, sold 6 million albums and worked as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF.
