An Archuleta inaugural
We hear rumors about some ruckus happening back East in the next few weeks -- some kinda politics coffee klatch that we're sure will be vastly overshadowed by the start of Season 7. But the eyes of Idol Nation today were on Salt Lake City, where the most momentous political event of the year went off like a dream. We refer of course to the re-inauguration of Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr., who in what augers very well for his governing sense had the inspiration and good sense to select his state's favorite son, the Chosen One, David Archuleta, as the opening act of his festivities -- consecrating his installment with a rendition of this national anthem.

This gave me chills. Everything David Archuleta sings is the BEST ever. Thanks, Mr. Rushfield for posting this for us to enjoy. I can't seem to get enough of the "Chosen One".

What an incredible voice this young man has and incredible role model for all of us. Perfect choice! Now I hope he also sings at the Obama Inauguration he has been invited to. WOW how incredible that will be. David's Imagine and In this Moment will be perfect for that event. Who knows? May be we will be lucky to hear that version. GO DAVID ARCHULETA. My family's AMERICAN IDOL WINNER!

This is the best thing that has happened to the Utah legislature in years. Let's hope he gets wisked to Tampa to sing the National Anthem at the Superbowl game. Are you listening, NFL????

What an awesome SSB! David Archuleta is the real deal. I hope he sings this many more times for many more occasions. He is a truly gifted artist.

Dear Mr. Rushfield, Did I ever mention that I love you for being so nice to my Favorite Idol Ever? I never met you so please don't freak out but you are the real MAN for admitting that David Archuleta has talent and for supporting him in your articles. The national anthem is not an easy song to sing and David does it beautifully!

OMG....that young man just sung the best rendition of the National Anthem I have ever heard. Thanks for posting it. I love this guy. Does he have an album out yet? I hear his single Crush on the radio and it is amazing also.

David Archuleta must sing at the presidential inaguration on January 20. He is the one. David 's talent is incomparable, Our family will be watching and we hope to see David perform.
