Trojans in the NFL: Week 13

LenDale White (RB, Tennessee) got back on track and so did the Titans. White rumbled for 106 yards and two touchdowns in 23 carries in a 47-10 pasting of hapless Detroit.

Justin Fargas (RB, Oakland)
carried 18 times for 82 yards and a touchdown with one fumble. He also made a three-yard reception in a 20-13 loss to Kansas City.

Reggie Bush (RB, New Orleans)
played for the first time since a knee injury on Oct. 19. He had five receptions for 32 yards but wound up with zero yards in three carries and lost 16 on two kick returns. The Saints fell to Tampa Bay, 23-20.

Matt Cassel (QB, New England) had a rough day after two spectacular outings. He was sacked five times and coughed up the ball four times, two on fumbles and two on interceptions. He finished with 169 yards on 19-of-39 passing and one yard in two carries. The Pats fell to Pittsburgh, 33-10.

Troy Polamalu (S, Pittsburgh) made five tackles and also had one of the picks against Cassel, returning it 23 yards.

Chilo Rachal (G, San Francisco)
made his second consecutive start in the Niners' 10-3 upset over Buffalo.

Tom Malone (P, New England) signed back on with the Pats' practice squad. It looked like he would make the squad back before Tom Brady got hurt, but an injury that opened up an opportunity for fellow Trojan Matt Cassel was rumored to cause roster movement that eventually left no room for Malone.

Kyle Williams (OT, Seattle) was moved from the practice roster to the active roster with the Seahawks.

Matt Leinart (QB, Arizona) didn't play again. But in a four-touchdown loss to Philly, how does he not even get sent in for mop-up duty?

Lofa Tatupu (LB, Seattle) had six tackles in a 34-9 loss to Dallas.

Terrell Thomas (CB, NY Giants)
made four tackles and forced a fumble in a 23-7 victory over Washington.

Billy Miller (TE, New Orleans)
caught three passes for 26 yards in the loss to the Bucs.

Steve Smith (WR, NY Giants) made two 11-yard catches in the win over Washington.

Willie McGinest (LB, Cleveland) had four tackles in a 10-6 loss to Indianapolis.

Shaun Cody (DT, Detroit)
made three tackles in the loss to Tennessee.

Sedrick Ellis (DT, New Orleans) had three tackles in the loss to Tampa.

Brian Kelly (CB, Detroit)
made one tackle in the loss to the Titans.

Mike Patterson (DT, Philadelphia) had one tackle in a 48-20 victory over Arizona.

Also played: Lawrence Jackson (DE, Seattle)

Leinart didn't seize his meager opportunity to displace Warner, and made a worse impression when he was photographed with young women drinking at his home.

IMHO, he hasn't grown up quite enough just yet. Problem is, he is headed the Todd Marinovich way.

I'd hate to see him go that route, but it's his choice.

I am tired of penalties especially the holding calls against Turner. Why doesn't the SC staff take Turner aside for a whole day of practice and teach him how to block? Just make an example of him like he is a Freshman. Not one game goes by without at least one holding penalty on him and they are always on long running plays. If SC doesn't deal with this problem, it will end up costing them dearly.
