Pete Carroll and Britney Spears, united at last
L.A. Live, the new mega-complex in downtown, held its first Christmas tree lighting on Thursday night. Pete Carroll helped do the honors, joined by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Councilwoman Jan Perry, comedian Adam Carolla and human trainwreck alleged celebrity Britney Spears.
Carroll missed a pep rally being held on campus, but coordinators Steve Sarkisian and Nick Holt filled in.
It's being reported that Sarkisian will take over for Ty Willingham in Washington and, after practice on Thursday, reporters joked with Carroll about replacing him with Britney Spears. No word if she's a fan of the spread option, but there are concerns over extra benefits she may have provided for Kevin Federline.

"replacing him Britney Spears"
needs a "with" I believe.
