Beware of Rey

Rey Maualuga is what my friends like to call a manimal. (If you've got time to kill, enjoy this cheesy '80s TV flashback.)

Back in 2006, Maualuga helped put himself on the college football map with this bon- crunching hit on UCLA quarterback Patrick Cowan. It became an Internet sensation, with a few versions of the clip combining for more than 500,000 views.

At a pep rally on Thursday, USC kicker David Buehler (a former linebacker himself) got on the mike and asked if fans wanted to see Maualuga dish out similar punishment on the Bruins quarterback this Saturday. The crowd erupted.
