Man on the run

C.J. Gable was en fuego Saturday night at Stanford. The USC tailback had 85 yards and a touchdown in 14 carries, but was even more impressive on special teams. He was named Pac-10 special teams player of the week after his 93-yard kickoff rumble finished in the end zone. He actually shared the award with Oregon State's James Rodgers, who returned a kick 86 yards. Before this weekend, no player in the Pac-10 had scored on a kickoff this season.
