The most expensive parking space in Los Angeles

Expensive_parking Paying hundreds of dollars for a ticket to the USC-Ohio State showdown was one thing. But what about parking?

A group of Buckeyes dropped $180 for their el primo spot immediately across the street from the Coliseum. That's not a typo.

Parking was actually advertised for a mere $100. Unfortunately for Buckeye Matt (now a resident of Tempe, Ariz.), he spent a C-note for an official parking pass, only to find the lot full by the time he arrived at the game. The owner of a nearby private lot cut him a break by only charging another $80.

Nobody at Matt's tailgate had ever paid more than $20 to park at an OSU game in Columbus.

Matt the Buckeye fan got a bum day both INSIDE and OUTSIDE the Coliseum....

$60/point scored by OSU

What a bargain!

Welcome to Los Angeles. Wow, and I though Century City ($32 for 2 hours on a weekday) was pricey. Next time, you might want to walk a few blocks. You probably could get parking for $20 (just like little ol' Columbus) if you're willing to walk 3-4 blocks.

Pitiful of the owner of the parking lot. Sure, it's economics, but a little decency helps karma.

I parked in the University Lot on Fig & 37th, and it was filled to capacity by 12:15...

Guess this guy shoulda gotten there a few hours earlier and saved himself about $150...

(this lot was only $25)

Sounds like he got owned.

Parked at 39th and about 4 blocks west of vermont.

Free.

Its not as bad as you think people. $20 is for the scared westsiders and southbay trojans - $180 is for midwesterners.

Taking Amtrak and Metro to the campus and the Coliseum is less stressful and much cheaper. There are many Trojans that get it. The ones that don't get it can spend $100 to park and wait forever to get in and out of their parking space to sit in another parking lot (surrounding surface streets and the freeway).

Forgot to mention ... I actually biked to the game. Couldn't have been any easier. It's way faster than walking around campus. Instead of dealing with traffic and parking, I locked it to a fence at the Coliseum (seemed safe there ... I didn't leave until after 1 A.M. and there were other bikes still around, too). Bonus: I zipped around to different tailgates that I couldn't have made it to on foot.

That's great Adam! USC is very fortunate to be very bikable and very walkable.

Adam you bike wow, I am the VITALYTE ( electrolite replacement solution) REP for socal. Email me dude if you haven't tried product i will get you some

Honestly the best place to park is anywhere west of Vermont on the streets. I once found a parking spot right ON Vermont before that Dodgers game at the Coliseum. Pays to circle a few times...

Football sucks anyway...
