Ohio State Game Day Musings: Pregame

Observations from before the USC-Ohio State showdown:

• There's only one word to describe the atmosphere around campus: zoomanity.
• Walking into the Coliseum, Stafon Johnson was literally dancing his way up to the Peristyle. Joe McKnight was grooving, too.
• Fans reportedly started lining up for the game at 10 a.m. -- on Friday. Word is they were freshmen. Probably pledges.
• Speaking of the student section, check out the photo and notice how early they started packing in -- it's first-come, first-served.
• The flyover was your tax dollars at work. Worth every penny.
• The echo of fans chanting, "Whoo, whoo!" while the band played "Conquest" sent chills up my spine. After about nine months, college football has returned to the Coliseum.
