Three Trojans Not at Camp
USC players reported for training camp on Tuesday, but three players that signed letters of intent with the Trojans in February were not among them.
Coach Pete Carroll confirmed that Daniel Campbell, an offensive lineman from Texas, did not qualify and will attend Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia.
Running back Curtis McNeal and defensive lineman Nick Perry were still completing academic work necessary to qualify, Carroll said. He gave no timetable for when they might be cleared by the NCAA eligibility center or when they might arrive.
