Leonard Washington Announcement
Leonard Washington, a former USC signee who opened up his recruiting last year after he failed to qualify academically, said he would announce his college decision early this week.
Washington said he was considering USC, Indiana and Kentucky, with the Trojans as the front-runner.
The 6-foot-6 forward spent last season at Compton Marshall High after previously attending high school in Lake Charles, La.
Washington, who played this weekend in the Pangos All-American Camp at the Galen Center, said the NCAA investigation into whether former USC star O.J. Mayo received improper benefits would have no influence on his decision.
-- From a report by Ben Bolch --
[Note from Adam: Interesting that a few weeks ago, a source inside the program confirmed to The Times that Washington was definitely coming to USC (Washington reportedly denied it shortly thereafter). In the meantime, USC fans will continue to debate the merits of taking players with past issues.]

Tim Floyd is a disgrace to our legendary athetic department. The kids he is recruiting are bad students and get in trouble off the field. When will sample or anyone tell this guy to stop recruiting such scumbags to our program. Leonard Washington has been in dozens of fights in high school.

USC can have Washington. Indiana doesn't need any more losers or scumbags as we try to rebuild our legendary basketball program disgraced by Kelvin Sampson. Washington is not a Tom Crean kind of guy anyway, the player that IU really wants in Negedu anyway...

Wow so judgmental everybody should get a chance in life but whatever; maybe Tim should adopt the John Woody Pyramid of non-success
