Hackett's Injury Could be Worse
Sophomore Daniel Hackett could have a much more severe injury than originally believed.
Coach Tim Floyd told ESPN today that his point guard may have a fracture in his spinal column.
USC's sports information office had no comment this afternoon, other than to confirm that Hackett told them he had an X-ray over the weekend. Floyd will probably have more to say after practice today.
Hackett suffered the injury over a week ago, and has seen limited time on the court since then. Hackett fell face-down, leading many at the time to suspect a hip injury (fracture, pointer, or bone bruise) and possibly fractured ribs. Hackett also has a sprained ankle and missed time at the beginning of the season with a broken jaw suffered in practice.

wow what a bummer for this kid he is such a gamer i pray he gets better
