, a Los Angeles aromatherapist and perfumer who specializes in natural botanics, has opened an eponymous boutique and studio offering classes on natural botanic perfumery as well as a selection of handmade objects, incense and aromatics from around the world.

The boutique, at 304 S. Edinburgh Ave., Los Angeles, is open from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. (323)658-7507

Jewelry designer Alisa Michelle has opened a flagship boutique in Studio City. The boutique carries her collection and a DIY bar where customers can build their own custom pieces. The store is at 4344 Tujunga Blvd. It’s open from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Prices range from $24 to $300.

Events

Blushington Makeup and Beauty Bar plans to host a reception in honor of former model and lifestyle journalist Carin von Berg’s new novel ‘Gucci Girl.’ The event, which includes cocktails, light bites and makeup application, is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Blushington, 8591 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood. Maxfield Los Angeles announced it will be closed Sunday due to street closures because of the Los Angeles Gay Pride Parade. Maxfield’s Malibu store will be open.

Los Angeles jewelry designer Christy Jackson is adding ‘puddle rings’ to her Verve Jewelry line and will be showing them off at a trunk show and cocktail reception from 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at Los Feliz Co-op 28 Handmade, 1728 N. Vermont Ave., in Los Feliz.

Amber Sakai’s signature lace pane tees, bandeaus and tanks along with shorts, hoop skirts and pants will be among highlights of the designer’s sample sale from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at MHA Media, 5150 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 200, Los Angeles. Prices are $20-$80. Credit card and cash accepted.
