The 60-piece Banana Republic Trina Turk collection launches Thursday, bringing the L.A. designer’s name to its biggest audience yet, with patio dresses, tunic tops and bikinis in her signature sun-drenched prints available at 450 stores worldwide. Pieces are priced from $34.50 to $150, roughly half as much as her namesake line that sells at department stores and boutiques.
I sat down with Turk recently at her weekend house in Palm Springs to discuss the collection, and other recent developments in her business, which include a remodel of her Palm Springs boutique, and the launch of jewelry, stationary and bedding.
