There are many perks to stardom. Jennifer Lopez exemplified one of them on "American Idol" Wednesday when she took the stage wearing a 50.4-carat diamond ring priced at $2.1 million. The ring was from Cora jewelers, which plans to put it up for sale on its website. [People]

Paul Marciano of Guess jeans spent some time in a federal courtroom this week explaining that Guess draws inspiration from lots of places, but maintaining that the company is not guilty of infringing on Gucci's trademark logo. [Telegraph]
