Giuliana Rancic and husband Bill announced that they are expecting their first child. They are using a surrogate, so don't expect to see much change in her usual svelte style. [Los Angeles Times]

Alessandra Ambrosio, one of three pregnant Victoria's Secret models, took her maternity clothes off to appear in a Demi Moore-style nude photograph. It was for an ad for Vivara jewelry. [The Cut]

After a weekend in New York, Kim Kardashian arrived at LAX wearing a Rachel Roy coat over black leather pants, a Celine necklace and a black Birkin. But what got attention were her stud earrings. They were the initials K and W -- presumably to show her affection for new purported boyfriend Kanye West. [Huffington Post]

The Cut points out that as we approach the annual Met Ball in May, designers are starting to announce their dates --- who are almost always celebrities the designer gets to dress and then pose with on red carpets to promote the brand. The first pairing, announced a while back, was Joseph Altuzarra and singer Lana Del Rey. Now Proenza Schouler -- profiled recently by Los Angeles Times fashion critic Booth Moore -- has announced that designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez will escort Australian actress Isabel Lucas. Designer Roberto Cavalli last week dissed American fashion -- there is no American fashion is the gist of what he said. Over the weekend he went on a Twitter rampage, calling out Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour, the house of Louis Vuitton and the entire fashion industry (for being more about money than creativity). [Styleite]

French designer Sonia Rykiel reveals that she has had Parkinson's disease, which she has been hiding for 15 years. Now she and co-author Judith Perrignon have a book out in France about it that's titled "N’oubliez Pas Que Je Joue" (translation: Don’t forget it’s a game or Don't forget that I'm playing).
