Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen
"Game of Thrones" may be set in a fantasy world of long, long ago, but the clothes the characters are wearing strike some observers as remarkably on-trend, including crop tops, prints, fur. And I would say some 1970s ladies-of-the-canyon influences, just as we're seeing in fashion now. In fact, I think Emilia Clarke who plays  Daenerys Targaryen in "Game of Thrones," could wear the outfit shown here to the upcoming Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.  [The Cut]

Mattel plans to create a "Bald and Beautiful Barbie" that will be distributed to children's hospitals and the National Alopecia Areata Foundation to provide to youngsters dealing with hair loss. The toymaker's decision is in response to a vigorous Facebook campaign asking for a doll to appeal to children who've lost their hair during cancer treatments or for other reasons. [Time]

Alec Baldwin got engaged to girlfriend Hilaria Thomas over the weekend, and she was spotted out and about Monday wearing what appears to be a square-cut diamond on a diamond-encrusted band. [People]

xoJane gave Audrina Patridge a "makeunder," toning down the reality star's usual glamorous, made-up look and going for a minimalist, natural vibe. Pre-makeunder, Patridge's routine involved 45 minutes for makeup, two hours for hair and more than 30 products. The makeunder took 13 minutes and six products. [xoJane]

Victoria's Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, who is a judge on "The Voice," have split up. [People]

The ReelzChannel has a treat in store for lovers of movie costumes. A new special, "Behind the Seams," will take viewers behind the scenes of the 14th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards, which took place in February. Hosted by Jane Lynch, the program includes interviews with actors Clint Eastwood, Kate Beckinsale, Madeleine Stowe, James D’Arcy and Marcia Gay Harden, among others. It is set to debut at 7:30 p.m. EDT/ 4:30 p.m. PDT on April 14, with encore showings over the following few days, according to a news release.
