Fashion News: Michelle Obama in Marchesa, Ashley Judd on steroids

First Lady Michelle Obama and Samantha Cameron, wife of British Prime Minister David Cameron, were color-coordinated at the state dinner at the White House on Wednesday evening. Like many a movie star on a red carpet, Mrs. Obama wore Marchesa, adding a statement necklace by Tom Binns. Mrs. Cameron was in lace by Alessandra Rich. [MyDaily]

Ashley Judd shot down speculation that she had plastic surgery, saying her recently puffy face is the result of steroids prescribed for a sinus infection. [People]

Celebrities were out in force Wednesday evening for the opening night of "Green Day's American Idiot" at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. Tom Hanks (who plans to produce a film version) was there with wife Rita Wilson. Also name checked by Ellen Olivier at Society News L.A. were Marcia Gay Harden of “Pollock,” Bob Saget of “Full House,” John Gallagher Jr. of  “Spring Awakening,” Andrea Bowen of “Desperate Housewives,” Charlayne Woodard of “Unbreakable,” Corey Reynolds of “The Closer,” Katie Lowes of the upcoming, “Scandal,” Ken Ehrlich, Sandra Tsing Loh, Mary Faber and Libby Winters. The show was produced by actor/producer Tom Hulce, who is probably most widely know for his acting roles  in "Amadeus" and "National Lampoon's Animal House." [Society News LA]
