Oscars 2012: Early misses

Oscar misses
Oh boy, the last few arrivals have been disappointing.

Berenice Bejo’s mint green, long-sleeved Elie Saab gown makes her look like a mother of the bride, and Jessica Chastain’s gold, Rococo embroidered Alexander McQueen is too heavy and too serious for the young actress. Shailene Woodley’s Valentino Couture column gown is not up to the occasion. Where is the joy in these clothes? Are these young actresses trying so hard to prove that they are fashion players that they're forgetting they are movie stars? Looks on the red carpet should be glamorous and fun.
