L.A. fashion schools: majoring in chic

Fashion

No, we're not New York. But the fashion industry is huge in Southern California, and every year, Los Angeles colleges send out thousands of newly minted graduates who hope to be the next Monique Lhuillier or Rick Owens (two of the big names who attended local fashion schools).

From Otis College of Art and Design to the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising to Los AngelesTrade-Technical College, local  fashion schools cater to students of varying aspirations and income levels.
