The lovely wedding dress Alexander McQueen’s creative director Sarah Burton designed for the Duchess of Cambridge has been nominated for a prestigious British design award. It is one of two McQueen nominations in the London Design Museum’s Designs of the Year competition. ‘Savage Beauty,’ the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art’s retrospective on the late McQueen’s work, is also in contention.
