Fashion News: Snooki sued, Rooney Mara freaked out

"Jersey Shore's" Snooki (a.k.a. Nicole Polizzi) has been countersued for $7 million by SRG Ventures in their dispute over a merchandising deal. [New York Post]

Rooney MaraRooney Mara went beyond the pale to be in character as the title character in "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo." She says now that the multiple piercings and eyebrow shaving initially freaked her out. [Fox]

But now she's hanging onto some of Lisbeth Salander's style, keeping (at least for now) a nipple piercing and chunky bangs. And the dresses she's worn to the film's international premieres have stayed edgy, as we've noted before and as seen at left. [Fashionista]

Eres, the French swimwear and lingerie brand, has moved from Rodeo Drive to a larger space at Dayton Way and Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills. [WWD]

The four-day live and online Christie's auction of Elizabeth Taylor's jewelry, clothing and art broke two records -- the most valuable sale of jewlelry in auction history and the most valuable private sale of fashion.
