Tarina Tarantino, the L.A.-based designer with a shock of magenta locks, has built a business on all things pretty and sparkly. Not surprisingly, she carries her love of bright color and pretty packaging into her beauty bag, opting for multitasking products and, of course, pieces from her cosmetics line for Sephora -- Tarina Tarantino Beauty.

Here, she shares some of her favorite cosmetic items for getting glowy, hydrated skin while traveling and keeping the hot pink color in her hair from fading.

Tarina Tarantino Eye Dream Hyperliner in Crystal Gun $15 at www.sephora.com. “This is a great waterproof, frosty white eyeliner that makes you look bright-eyed and wide awake, even after the redeye,” she says.

WEN Cleansing Conditioner in Fig $49.50 at www.qvc.com. This lightly scented product does double duty, acting as a cleanser and conditioner, perfect for easy packing. Also, Tarantino claims it leaves her signature tresses shiny and doesn’t strip the color.

BVLGARI Crème de Lumiere Splendid Day & Night Cream $150 at Neiman Marcus. “There’s nothing like an 8-hour flight to NYC to dry out skin,” Tarantino says. “This cream is like a tall glass of water for your face, plus it’s a nice little luxury.”

Tarina Tarantino Beauty Pearl Glow Primer in Nude $32 at www.sephora.com. ‘I don’t like to carry too many products with me when I’m traveling. This primer gives just enough coverage and glow, so I can skip foundation, plus it’s TSA friendly!’ says the designer.

Davines Authentic Moisturizing Face, Hair and Body Balm $29.50 at www.gbsbeauty.com. Tarantino loves a multitasking product and says that this balm works wonders on the ends of her hair and also acts as a hydrating hand cream.

Special Edition Paul Mitchell Express Ion Blow Dryer $190 at www.paulmitchell.com. “You just can’t count on your hotel to have a decent blow dryer, so I like to bring mine with me,” she says, adding that this dryer (which she festooned with her signature artwork and even a charm dangling from the handle) cuts down hair drying time and leaves her naturally curly locks voluminous and frizz free.

Tarina Tarantino Beauty Dollskin Cheek Blush Palette $45 at www.sephora.com. This palette packs a punch with four easy shades in one.
