Fashion News: Steve Jobs' sweater is a hot item

Steve Jobs is apparently being paid tribute by fans who are buying copies of his signature mock turtleneck sweater. A rep for the sweater company, St. Croix, told TMZ that sweater sales doubled in the hours after news of Jobs' death on Wednesday was announced. [TMZ]

Rachel Bilson is the celebrity "influencer"  of a planned sister site, ShoeMint, where for $79.99 a month, subscribers will receive new footwear every month. Rihanna's new ad campaign for Emporio Armani's Armani Jeans includes a video in which the singer changes into her jeans in the backseat of a car. It looks like a struggle, but a sexy one. [People]

No matter that the women's ready-to-wear collections that have been shown on runways in New York, London, Milan and Paris over the last four weeks were for spring-summer 2012. Any number of fashionistas -- like Anna Della Russo, Anna Wintour, Chanel Iman, Carine Roitfeld -- are already wearing them. [Fashionista]

Ad Age has named Vogue magazine of the year, citing its advertising growth rate (add pages for January-October increased 9%), the number of pages in the all-important September issue (584 advertising pages) and its efforts "off the page" -- Fashion's Night Out.  "It's easier to grow when you're new and relatively small, but when you're this established and you grow anyway, you're doing more than a few things right,"  the advertising industry publication said.
