Fashion News: Molly Sims, Pippa Middleton and weekend weddings

September 26, 2011 |  8:40 am

Molly Sims and producer Scott Stuber got married Saturday in a quiet ceremony in the Napa Valley. The bride wore a Marchesa gown; the groom wore Tom Ford. [People]

Pippa Middleton wore a knee-length blue watercolor-print dress and matching fascinator headpiece to the wedding of friends Thomas Sutton and Harriet Colthurst on Saturday. On her arm was date Alex Loudon, who was also her escort to her sister's royal wedding in April. [People]

Middleton's sister, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, wore a scarlet lace dress -- which might or might not have been by Erdem --  to the same wedding. [Fashionista]

And rumor has it that the Duchess of Cambridge may appear on the cover of U.S. Vogue, shot by Mario Testino. [Telegraph]

Gala in the Garden at the Hammer Museum

Actors (including Neil Patrick Harris, Will Farrell, Dana Delany and John C. Reilly), artists (such as Ed Ruscha and David LaChapelle) and design stars (such as Monique Lhuillier) turned out for Saturday's Gala in the Garden at the Hammer Museum in L.A. Art collector Rosette Delug and "Sex and the City" creator Darren Star co-chaired the dinner, which reportedly raised $1.7 million for the museum's exhibitions and free public programs. First Kirstie Alley, now Nancy Grace: Grace says she has lost 10 pounds on "Dancing With the Stars." The physically challenging show also seemed to kick-start weight loss for former contestant Alley, whose weight loss we've mentioned before. [People]

Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour said in an interview published Saturday in Italy's La Republica newspaper that she would like to see women protesting in the streets during Milan Fashion Week over what critics say is the licentious behavior of Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. [WWD]

Creative director Nicola Formichetti is scheduled to start live-blogging from the Mugler atelier Monday. And the label's Facebook page should start carrying teasers for a short film by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin starring Lady Gaga, which is to be shown in full during Mugler's runway show in Paris on Wednesday. [Telegraph]
