Fashion: Victoria Beckham goes flat. Rafael Nadal in Armani ad.

David and Victoria Beckham Oh, no! Designer Victoria Beckham (a.k.a. Posh Spice, a.k.a. Mrs. David) has slipped a disc. And her doctor has ordered no more high heels! At least temporarily. Luckily, flats seem to be on the way back in. [Daily Mail]

Tennis great Rafael Nadal is scheduled to unveil a 20-feet-tall billboard picturing himself, wearing Emporio Armani jeans, at the Macy's in New York's Herald Square on Thursday to kick off his fall ad campaign for the clothier. [The Cut]

After the global blogosphere dustup over labeling a fashion feature "Slave earrings," as we mentioned on Monday, Vogue Italia has changed the name of the item to "Ethnic earrings." [Vogue Italia]

Designer Vicky Tiel has a new book out, “It’s All About the Dress: What I Learned in Forty Years About Men, Women, Sex, and Fashion” (St. Martin’s Press), chronicling her life and decades in the world of fashion. Tiel was part of Elizabeth Taylor's entourage for years and has dressed an A-list of celebrities and socialites. [WWD]
