Liz Goldwyn, granddaughter of movie tycoon Samuel Goldwyn, is an accomplished filmmaker, author, jewelry designer and artist. But in fashion circles, she’s just as well-known for her chic, downtown style and signature beauty look — centered around meticulously lipsticked, brick-red lips.
We asked the L.A.-based fashion plate to divulge her five favorite beauty goodies, and she graciously opened up her makeup bag for All the Rage.

Arcona Eye Dew, $32, and Arcona Papaya Enzyme Gel, $40. ‘I am obsessed with this California-based, all organic company,’ said Goldwyn. ‘They use only natural ingredients and the Eye Dew cream is unbelievable. I also use the Pomegranate Cleansing Pads after ballet class, and the Peptide Hydrating moisturizer. You have to use the products within six months — that’s how fresh they are.’

Simplers essential oils, $8 to $92. Goldwyn ‘never leaves home’ without lavender, sandalwood and rose oil by Whole Foods staple Simplers. ‘I like to mix them for perfume, and lavender solves just about any health crisis, and comes in handy when one has social anxiety as well! Friends are always asking me to anoint them with my stash.’

Dior Vernis nail polish in Pink Kimono, $21. ‘I love this color for summer,’ she said, adding that ‘all the Dior polishes have a good high-shine finish.’

MAC Girl About Town lipstick, $14.50. Goldwyn’s been changing up her trademark red pout lately, opting for pinks and purples — and loves this hot pink-purple hybrid hue, noting, ‘I’m feeling the summertime romance in the air.’ Estee Lauder limited edition compact with translucent pressed powder, various prices. ‘I love to reapply lipstick,’ she said, ‘and think that women should have a chic compact to pull out of their bag to do so.’ Goldwyn collects both vintage and new Lauder special-edition compacts, ‘and I’m usually rotating which ones go in my bag. Right now I’m using an Orchid enamel and rhinestone design by Jay Strongwater.’
