Lanvin opening in Malibu

So you're hangin' on the sand, flipping through glossy magazines, and all of a sudden you've just gotta have a Lanvin sun hat. Starting the weekend of July 30, you'll be in luck. Lanvin is opening its second Southland boutique, this time at Malibu Village.*

With just 600 square feet of space, the boutique will be a beachy-themed extension of the brand's larger Rodeo Drive store, according to a spokeswoman from Lanvin, with product geared toward "the easygoing California lifestyle." That means bathing suits, breezy silk dresses, beach bags, sandals and accessories.

Maybe next time I head out to the beach, I'll just have to forget my bathing suit ... on purpose.
