Fila toasts its centennial with a special vintage-inspired collection

Iconic Italian sportswear brand Fila turns 100 this year and has launched a commemorative 100 Year collection to celebrate a century of churning out trend-setting sportswear, worn by legendary athletes, fashion plates and hip-hoppers alike.

The collection features 12 apparel looks, in addition to a special sneaker and an old-school quilted leather gym bag, and was inspired by sketches found in the Fila archives.

The brand's signature use of the Italian colors — green, white and red — is everywhere in the line, on classic polos, a wool-blend jacket with rib knit and chevron stripe details (shown in photo), vintage-inspired tees and even a reversible bucket hat.

Being in the celebratory mood, the brand has also launched a jazzy micro-website that showcases the tennis label's vast history, along with hundreds of archival looks.

Prices for the 100 Year collection range from $25 for a reversible bucket hat to $120 for the zip-up  jacket or quilted leather duffle bag.

It's a great opportunity to nab a bit of vintage Fila without any moth-eaten holes or wine stains.
