Beauty at the click of a mouse

Shopping online is such a timesaver. But with all things seemingly infinite in cyberspace, sometimes I yearn for a boutique, not a mega-mall.

That includes shopping for cosmetics. Sure, Sephora is great. But what about those times when you want something a bit different? A marketplace that specializes in organics, say, or one that can deliver relatively obscure cult favorites?

Writer Alene Dawson checked into some of the less-well-known beauty sites on the Web for Sunday's Image section. She found a nice sampling of places to get your beauty fix at the click of a mouse.
